ShareShare Feedback - Letter from Barbara SetterfieldDear Newsletter After reading your newsletter I thought I'd write to tell you about our school, Deafhill Primary School. When I was asked if I'd like to come along to the first Share meeting I did not think my life would change so much. We have been doing Family Learning and Share for the past 5 years under the tuition and friendly guidance from Mrs. J. Johnson, the school Key Stage 1 coordinator. We meet on a Tuesday afternoon where we have friendly and lively discussion, the children look forward to all the Share activities. My grand children are age 6 and 11 years, we have many happy hours making and talking about all the activities, Share is very comprehensive. Let me tell you about our group. Over the years we have numbered between 7 and 15. One of the ladies has taken her exams in Open University to be a classroom assistant she is waiting for her final results. Another lady has taken a position as a football coach. One of our group is now working as a special needs assistant and many ladies are on courses for I T. skills ranging from word processor, spread sheet, digital cameras, internet, email and there is also a story sack course. Four of our ladies last year passed their level 1 and are now working hard to achieve their level 2 GCSE in maths. On the social side we have many good nights out. On Thursday night we all donned witches hats and with Mrs. Jan Johnson and several teachers we held a Halloween party. All the children in the school enjoyed the night. So you can see just how the little Share badger is helping to make many changes to all the people he comes in contact with. Five years ago if you told me at the age of sixty-six I would write this letter to you on a computer I would have cried with laughter. We have proved that Share is for all the family, Yours faithfully Barbara Setterfield
