We would like you to support us in ensuring that Fathers and Male Carers are included in service provision. To find out more please see the attached documents. The Children North East Fatherhood Centre is funded by the DfES to capture and disseminate information about work to include fathers and male carers in services. In partnership with practitioners, managers and other interested parties around the region we have been working to ensure that the inclusion of fathers and male carers is recognised in the Children and Young People's (CYP) plans which lay the foundations for future work over the next three years. We aim to ensure that key actions are put in place to make best use of the fatherhood resources in each area and challenge discrimination in service provision against parents and carers on the basis of gender. We have attached our recommendations for the draft CYP plans and we are looking for your comments and support for this submission. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view this information.
